Shelly Leonard has extensive litigation experience. She handles a wide variety of complex litigations, including class actions and mass torts in the areas of pharmaceutical, wage and hour, labor and employment law, commercial/business litigation, consumer fraud, professional liability, negligence, medical malpractice and products liability.
Shelly has forged a reputation in the pharmaceutical litigation acting as co-liaison counsel of In Re NuvaRing® Litigation, a Multicounty litigation pending in the Superior Court, Bergen County, New Jersey. New York Magazine recently named Shelly a Top Rated Lawyer in Class Actions and Mass Torts.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Leonard has broad transactional experience including the representation of Fortune 500 companies and non-profit entities.
Shelly successfully represents clients at trial, during investigations, in arbitration and mediation, in complex litigation and appellate practice.
Shelly is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey; U.S. District Courts, for the Eastern, Southern, Western and Northern Districts of New York; U.S. District Court of New Jersey; U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Additionally, Shelly has been admitted pro hac vice to many U.S. District Courts nationwide. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Art in Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany. Shelly earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Hofstra University School of Law with honors. Shelly participates in many legal and professional associations.
